Whole-House
Audio Systems
So you think you want speakers throughout your
home? Do you want nice background music playing while you move around
about your tasks? Or, do you want to hit a button to conjure up
an instant "party atmosphere" for that big bash? Are you
thinking about a system that can provide the same music program
in every room or a variety of different program choices in a number
of different rooms, simultaneously?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, or have any one of
a thousand other reasons for building an audio system into your
home, then
you've come to the right place.
First, let's define whole-house audio; it is like having a state-of-the-art
jukebox at your fingertips! Whole-house audio is where you have
multiple speaker pairs (stereo) in multiple rooms or areas of your
home. One or more rooms may have a full surround sound setup. In
a surround sound equipped room, although one set of speakers may
be shared with the whole-house audio system, they are otherwise
separate systems.
The most important thing we have learned is to decide early on whether
you want a multi- or single- source system; never mix the two.
Whole-House Video Systems
A "Whole-House Video System" is a professionally
designed distributed video playback system designed so that any
video source from any room can be see on any Television or display
device. Watch a DVD Player located downstairs in the living room
from the master bedroom. While still maintaining full control of
remote control functions.
